Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, you will be met by your Kent Corporate Travels representative and transferred to the Zanzibar Serena Hotel in Stone Town. After check-in and a short rest, the afternoon is yours to begin exploring one of Africa's most extraordinary urban environments.

Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the historic trading hub of the Swahili coast. Its narrow streets, ornately carved wooden doors, bustling bazaars, and centuries-old mosques are best experienced on foot. Your guide will take you through the winding lanes past the House of Wonders, the Old Arab Fort, the former slave market site, and the birthplace of Freddie Mercury on Kenyatta Road.

As evening falls, head to the Forodhani Gardens waterfront night market, where local vendors set up open-air grills serving fresh seafood, Zanzibari pizza, sugarcane juice, and a range of street food that perfectly captures the island's mixed heritage. Overnight at Zanzibar Serena Hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, the morning is dedicated to one of Zanzibar's most beloved experiences: a guided tour of a working spice plantation. Zanzibar was historically known as the Spice Island for its production of cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, black pepper, and cardamom. On your farm visit, you will walk among the plants, learn how each spice is grown and harvested, and have the opportunity to taste freshly picked produce.

Most spice farms also include a traditional Zanzibari lunch as part of the experience, served with freshly made coconut rice, curries, and fruit. The tour typically takes the morning and early afternoon, leaving time for a gentle stop at the Kidichi Persian Baths, built in the 1850s for a Persian princess who married the Sultan of Zanzibar.

In the mid-afternoon, your driver will transfer you north along the coast road to Nungwi. The journey takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes and offers views of the island's interior as you pass through small fishing villages and coastal forest. An early morning start for a sunrise dhow cruise along the northern coast, a quintessential Zanzibar experience. Traditional wooden dhow boats have been used by Zanzibari fishermen for centuries, and a cruise on one at dawn, with the silhouette of the island on one side and open ocean on the other, is a memory that stays with travellers long after they return home.

The morning cruise includes a snorkelling stop at one of the coral reef patches around Mnemba Atoll, widely regarded as one of the best snorkelling and diving spots in East Africa. The waters here are home to sea turtles, reef fish, octopus, and a diversity of coral that reflects the healthy marine environment. Equipment is provided on board.

After returning to the resort for lunch, the afternoon is spent at Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, Zanzibar's only national park and home to the rare Zanzibar red colobus monkey, a species found nowhere else on earth. A guided forest walk with a park ranger will take you through the forest interior, the mangrove boardwalk, and into the areas where the colobus troops are most reliably seen. Your final morning in Zanzibar is unhurried. Subject to your flight time, enjoy a late breakfast at the resort, a final swim, or a quiet walk along Nungwi Beach. The northern tip of the island is particularly scenic in the morning light, with fishing boats returning from the overnight catch and local women weaving baskets along the shoreline.
